1st Annual Wintersville Labor Day 5k Run & Walk

Join us on Monday, September 7th, at 9am for the 1st Annual Wintersville Labor Day 5k Run and Walk. Registration is from 7:30-8:45am at Indian Creek High School.

The cost is $10 per person. Download the entry form and send it along with a check payable to: Wintersville Betterment Committee, 217 N. Avalon Drive, Wintersville, OH 43953.

What entertainment would you like to see?

Today the Village is having it's fourth Summer Event. An Hawaiian Luau in Walnut Park. Next week August 8 we will be having our fifth and final Summer event Movie in the Park.

We are trying to bring fun and entertainment for our Village residents. What events would you like to attend so we can plan for 2010?

Plus don't forget we will have two fall events with a Corn Stock Maze and a Halloween Party in October and our annual Christmas Party in December.

Saturday, August 8th - Movie in the Park (TBD)

All events in the park will be held at Walnut Street Park

Spring Clean Up Dates

If your trash day is normally Tuesday your free pick up date is June 1st.
If your trash day is normally Wednesday your free pick up date is June 8th.
If your trash day is normally Thursday your free pick up date is June 15th.
If your trash day is normally Friday your free pick up date is June 22nd.

Water Shut-Off

The Village of Wintersville will shut water off on January 27th 2009 at 10:00 PM to the following locations to make repairs.

The locations are as follows: Old Main Street, Haslip Memorial, Chase Bank, The Goodwill Building.

Once the repairs are made there will be a 48 hour boil order.

"Citizen of the Year" Nominations

Nominations for the annual "Citizen of the Year" award are now being accepted and should be submitted to the village office at 200 Grove St. no later than 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 19.

Mayor Bob Gale asked residents to submit the names of the nominees as well as a reason why they believe the nominee deserves the award.

Council will announce the winner and present him or her with a plaque at an upcoming council meeting.
